
Microsoft confirmed yesterday that the operating system Windows 7 will be officially launched on 22 October. Windows 7 will replace the Vista, launched just three years ago and was far from a success.
The announcement was made through the official blog of the Windows team, which explains that those who buy a computer with Vista installed in a few months left to the release of Windows 7, could have access to Windows 7 Upgrade Option Program, which update the operating system at a reduced price.
The launch of the new version of Windows had been announced for early next year. According to some analysts, Microsoft anticipated the launch date to tackle new version of Android (Google's operating system), which is intended aospopulares small low cost laptops (called netbooks). The Acer announced yesterday that it would be the first computer manufacturer to sell their netbooks with Android installed.
Furthermore, the new system reaches the shops yet in time of peak sales of typical Christmas.
Windows 7 is Vista after the difficulty had become established in the market. Shortly after the launch of Vista, some manufacturers have chosen to, pressured by customers, by going back and continue to sell computers with Windows XP pre-installed.
The price of the new operating system has not yet been announced.
